settings is three cards: your week, speed, and updates.

your week

while your free week is active: N days left in your free week. everything works: preparing, finishing faster, the whole desk. after the week, the meter and the board stay free forever. the full app is $19.99 a month or $199 a year.

once the week ends and you have not licensed: your free week has ended. the meter and the board stay free forever. the full app is $19.99 a month or $199 a year.

before you have ever opened the desk: your free week starts the first time you open the desk.

every one of those states carries a "see pricing at peddra.com" button, and beneath it: already bought? paste your license key.

once licensed, the card reads "licensed to this Mac." with your renewal date beneath and a sign-out affordance. if a license check comes due while you are offline, it says plainly: license check due; connect to the internet.

speed

"Apple Intelligence reads and prepares your chats on this Mac. free, always on, takes its time." turn it off and your cloud model becomes the main button on every chat. it still runs only when you click.

peddra uses your Mac's own AI. it runs on battery too; plugged in is best.

beneath the switch, your cloud model, five choices, in this order:

• none: no cloud model, ever. your Mac does all of it, at its own pace.
• haiku (recommended): passes every check we run, at the lowest price. all this work needs.
• sonnet: stronger and pricier. our checks say haiku already passes this work.
• opus: much stronger, much pricier. more than finishing chats needs.
• fable: the strongest and most expensive, every time. more than this work ever needs.

once you have real finishes on record, the card shows your own average: "your average so far" priced or sized in tokens for a subscription plan, in dollars for API credits.

updates

the card names the version you are running, read live from the app itself, and a "check for updates" button, the exact twin of the one in the menu bar.
