The free meter makes no network call of any kind, ever. It reads the transcript files Claude Code already keeps on your disk, does the pricing math locally, and sends nothing, to us or to anyone else.
The meter ships inside the Peddra app, one download. The whole app, meter included, is free for the first seven days: no card, no account, starting the moment you first open it. After that first week, the router features that make up the rest of the app move behind a subscription, but the meter and the board keep working, free, for as long as you use them.
