every chat you have with Claude Code carries a light in peddra's list:
- green: keep going. nothing to say.
- yellow: it's getting expensive to continue.
- red: time to move to a fresh chat.
the light is not a grade on the conversation. it measures how expensive the chat has become to keep going, because a long chat means Claude Code re-reads more of it with every new message. a chat can be going great and still turn yellow, purely because it has gotten long.
